The making of a traditional wooden wheel is a very English process, whereby our native hedgerow trees are transformed into something
both useful and beautiful. The oak, ash and elm which have given their character to the East Anglian landscape for hundreds of years
have long been known to have the special properties called for in a durable wagon or carriage wheel. And many a wayside tree has
been recycled to provide the raw materials for the horse drawn vehicles which once rolled past.
